As finals approach, stress is increasing. Just got a little sore throat yesterday. I frequently try to will my immune system to get to work: I picture cells presenting antigen to T-cells, those T cells activating themselves and B cells, and my little viral throat infection to go away.

In other news, I’ve currently decided that I have some sort of platelet disorder, as I had some random minor petechia a couple weeks ago and got a bruise a couple weeks ago, when I never bruise. Upon overhearing this story, a second-year replied, “Oh don’t worry, it only gets worse.”

Ahh, med school.
