Google’s taking away medical student prestige by the minute. Now, thanks to or-live.com , anyone can watch a number of fairly common surgeries–up close. (And in many cases, probably get a better view than you would as a medical student.) (And plus, you don’t have to hold onto a retractor, or get yelled at for not driving the camera correctly.)
This is the list of operations currently available for viewing–free of charge. I never got to see a Nissen fundoplication (an operation to help treat acid reflux if medications don’t work), but now I can !
