Crazy eBay mom:
I haven’t done psych yet, so I don’t know what this would be called, maybe OCD, but this is clearly, clearly a problem when you fill your shower with
boxes of Ebay crap and sleep on a couch so your bed can be used for more Ebay boxes:
Crazy eBay mom

Graffiti from Pompeii:
No idea if this is legit, but I don’t know why it wouldn’t be:
Graffiti Found In Pompeii
. People haven’t changed much: “Satura was here on September 3;” “Celadus the Thracian gladiator is the delight of all the girls;”
“Phileros is a eunuch!”

The Straight Dude’s Guide to Brokeback Mountain
: “You are a heterosexual man. And you have no personal beef with gay people. You’re educated and fairly socially liberal and occasionally listen to NPR and you
don’t like to see anyone bashed or discriminated against. You’re no homophobe. You’re proud of yourself.” Very amusing.

Is this honestly what we want from the companies that make drugs to treat our diseases? Can we honestly trust them?
An excellent piece from Health Care Renewal
:
So the theme is intimidation, coercion, and/or threatened punishment of health care professionals who dare to speak out about dangers of drugs or potential reseach
misconduct of pharmaceutical companies. Particularly distressing was that in two cases (but presumably not that of Dr. Topol, to the credit of the Cleveland
Clinic), pressure by a commercial entity apparently resulted in adverse action by the the professional’s employer, even though the employers in these cases, a
UK university, and a US federal agency, ought by their very natures and stated missions to protect the rights of their professional employees to honestly
communicate about scientific and medical matters.
Scary.
